I am a realistic person and I know underage college kids away from home are going to try things that the probably wouldn't if they were at home. I know underage college kids drink but do I condone it? NO!!!!! Someone asked me," Well what did you do as a teenager?" WELL YOU KNOW WHAT IT REALLY DOESN'T MATTER WHAT I DID AS A TEENAGER. If it was acceptable now the drinking age would still be 18 years old and to the 21 year olds that are buying for these UNDERAGE kids then you should be ashamed of yourselves. Do you know that if you get caught buying and giving alcohol to underage kids then you go to JAIL for that and it is a more serious charge than the kid who gets caught drinking. Also, if a kid drinks and gets ALCOHOL POISONING then YOU will be the one who goes to jail and you better hope you don't KILL someones child because you bought the alcohol for them.
To the underage drinkers. If you get caught then your life is RUINED. All for a drink. Is it worth you losing a job, your college education, your parents trust, your car, YOUR PARENTS TRUST. Is it worth the embarrassment of having to call your PARENTS to come get you out of jail, spend their hard earned money on your bond, a lawyer and the court costs. You could possibly end up getting some time in jail for your actions. IN OTHER WORDS IS IT WORTH MESSING UP YOUR LIFE BECAUSE YOU WANTED TO BE COOL AND DRINK WITH YOUR BUDDIES.
And to the parents that think it is ok for your underage kids to drink at home or you think it is a RIGHT-OF-PASSAGE to drink at college. Well it is not. If you drank at college then that is your problem but do you think it is right to tell your kid it is OK. NO it is not right. That's when you need to grow up and instill tight and wrong into your child's head and tell them IF YOU GET CAUGHT THEN YOU SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES.
So to all of your underage drinkers make your parents proud and stay sober. At least don't drink until you are 21 years of age. Show them that you can be trusted and they have nothing to worry about so they don't sit at home worrying that you may end up in the hospital with alcohol poisoning or worse DEAD from drinking to much, or dead from drinking and driving. Show them YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE.
