WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- A maintenance worker at the Wake Forest University campus ran away Monday as police were attempting to serve a warrant on him for second-degree rape, Winston-Salem police said.Police said the suspect, Tereso Celestino Santiago, 31, was on campus doing work for a company that had been contracted by the university. The crime didn't happen at the campus, police said.Police said Santiago was wearing a white work jumpsuit. It's unknown if he was armed, but police said he should be considered dangerous.The university sent a message warning students.Anyone who spots Santiatgo is asked to call police at 727-2800.
