Suspect Charged After Man Found Dead in Kitchen

STOKES COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) - Deputies in Stokes County have arrested a man in connection with the death of a man in Danbury on Saturday.

Deputies responded to an emergency call at 2829 Mooresprings Rd., Danbury, around 3:38 a.m. Saturday morning. Upon arrival, deputies found Boyd Franklin Debord, 59, of Booth Rd., Westfield, deceased lying on the kitchen floor of the home.

Officials charged Larry Lee Palmer, 49, of 2829 Mooresprings Rd., with murder. Officials said Debord died of trauma to the head.

Captain Craig Carico said the two men knew each other before this incident.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
