Taking a HOT bath while reading a new book my daughter bought for us. Iris Johansen novel Eve.

As part of their ongoing efforts to keep our country and communities safe during emergencies, the Federal Communications Commission and Federal Emergency Management Agency will conduct the first nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS). The EAS test plays a key role in ensuring the nation is prepared for all hazards, and that the U.S. public can receive critical and vital information, should it ever be needed. The first nationwide test will be conducted Wednesday, November 9 at 2 p.m. eastern. This test will last about 30 seconds, and will be transmitted via television and radio stations within the U.S., including Alaska, Hawaii, the territories of Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and American Samoa. Similar to local emergency alert system tests, an audio message will interrupt television and radio programming indicating: “This is a test.” When the test is over, regular programming will resume. For more information about the nationwide Emergency Alert System test, please visit www.FEMA.gov and www.FCC.gov. On November 9 at 2 p.m. eastern, please remember: Don’t stress; it’s only a test.

Why is it we are

Why is it we are kinder to strangers than we are to our own family.

Time to be a family

Time to be a family again. Time to put the walls down that I have built up and make myself whole again.

Why is life so hard?

Why is life so hard? Time to make things simpler. Time for a change in myself. Time to be happy again.

Your Facebook comments on Google search?

Google to make changes to search engine

Google announced it will soon use comments on Facebook as part of their search results.

Comments on Facebook and other social networking sites were unavailable on Google search because the search engine was unable to automatically read Facebook’s programming.

Still, the search engine cannot find users’ comments posted on private pages within Facebook.

However, if you have used Facebook to comment on a third-party website, your comments can be searched on Google.

The change in the search engine stems from Google’s new technology GoogleBot.  GoogleBot was created to find content that was once loaded in programming scripts like AJAX and JavaScript.

The website Webmonkey said Google web developers are concerned about the changes, aware the changes could upset the public once their potentially embarrassing, private comments are available through Google’s revamped search engine.

WELL I GUESS IT IS TIME TO GET OFF OF FACEBOOK.
