King Council Votes On Flag Removal Decision - Winston-Salem News Story - WXII The Triad

EVERYBODY GETTING MAD AT WHAT THE CITY COUNCIL DOES ABOUT THE FLAG IS CRAZY. FIRST OFF, IF YOU ARE A CHRISTIAN THEN YOU SHOULDN'T BE SHOWING ANY ANGER YOU SHOULD BE PRAYING. SECOND, YOU NEED TO ACCEPT WHATEVER DECISION THE COUNCIL HANDS DOWN BECAUSE IF YOU REMEMBER WHEN THIS ALL STARTED THEY REFUSED TO TAKE THE FLAG DOWN UNTIL THE ACLU ADVISED THEM THEY WERE GOING TO SUE THE CITY. THE CITY OF KING CANNOT AFFORD TO PAY FOR A LAWSUIT TO FIGHT THE ACLU. IT WOULD BANKRUPT THE CITY. MY QUESTION IS HAVE THESE PEOPLE WHO WANT THE CITY TO FIGHT THE ACLU IN COURT STARTED A FUND TO HELP THE CITY DO THIS? I HAVEN'T HEARD OF ANY SUCH FUND. THE BEST THING WE ALL CAN DO IS PRAY FOR AN ANSWER TO THIS PROBLEM AND SUPPORT THE CITY OF KING IN THEIR DECISION. THEY HAVE TO DO WHAT THEY HAVE TO DO TO MAKE THE CITY OF KING SURVIVE AND IF THE FLAG DOESN'T GO BACK UP THEN ALWAYS REMEMBER YOU CAN FLY THE FLAG IN YOUR YARD, ON YOUR HOUSE, AT YOUR CHURCH. YOU CAN KEEP THE FLAG ALIVE IN YOUR HEART AS WELL BY PRAYING TO GOD. WE MIGHT LOSE THE FIGHT BUT ALWAYS REMEMBER YOU WIN THE WAR BY HAVING PRAYER AND LOVE IN YOUR HEART.

PROSTHETIC LEG CONFIRMED TO BE ZAHRA'S!!!!

Investigators Confirm Prosthetic Leg is Missing Girl's

Investigators Confirm Prosthetic Leg is Missing Girl's

Investigators confirm prosthetic leg found in western NC belonged to missing 10-year-old girl.

Hickory Police Maj. Clyde Deal said searchers found the leg last week at a home where the stepmother of 10-year-old Zahra Clare Baker's once lived. The girl had an artificial leg because she lost hers to bone cancer. Zahra, who also uses hearing aids, was reported missing Oct. 9 and authorities believe she is dead.

Deal said the prosthetic leg was discovered Tuesday afternoon near some brush in Caldwell County.

Zahra's stepmother, Elisa Baker, 42, has been charged with obstruction of justice. Police said she acknowledged to writing a bogus ransom note found at the scene of a fire in the family's back yard on the day her stepdaughter was reported missing.

The girl's father, Adam Baker, 33, was arrested last week. He is facing one count each of assault with a deadly weapon and failure to return rental property, two counts of communicating threats and five counts of writing worthless checks, authorities said. They are not related to his missing daughter's case.

Authorities in recent weeks have combed wooded areas and a landfill for evidence or her body.

Deal said Tuesday that Elisa Baker was taken earlier this week to a home where she once lived. At the time, he did not elaborate.

Hickory police also said investigators seized a mattress found by workers at a Caldwell County landfill. Deal said the mattress will be tested for DNA evidence.

THE QUESTION REMAINS FOR THE PARENTS- WHERE IS ZAHRA?
