Man Surrenders In Fatal Hit-And-Run

DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. -- A 30-year-old Lexington man has surrendered to authorities to face charges in a fatal hit-and-run crash that killed a cyclist on Tuesday evening.Highway Patrol troopers said Kenneth Reece Wright Jr. turned himself in on Wednesday evening. He's charged with felony hit-and-run, having no insurance on a vehicle, having an improper vehicle registration, having an out-of-date inspection and leaving the scene of an accident.Troopers said Wright's vehicle had been located earlier in the day Wednesday.The wreck Tuesday evening happened about 7:10 p.m. off Old Highway 109, killing Richard Clay Wise, 45, of Thomasville.Wright is being held with bail set at $100,000.
